About

The Colombo Pub Quiz started somewhere in the early 2000s. The origins are lost in the mists of time and alcohol. It was later found abandoned, weeping by the roadside by the OG Quizmasters, Jehan Mendis and Navin Ratnayake, who took it home, and put it to work at the Inn on The Green, where it became a popular weekly Colombo event.

Later, it moved to the Barefoot Café, where it began to truly shine.

Late in the 2010s it was taken over by Quizmaster Malaka Pathmalal, who helped it move from Barefoot to the Cricket Club. And then came The Lost Years of COVID.

After COVID, the Quiz returned with the current Quizmaster Suchetha Wijenayake.
